Wildlife in the Valley

Alan Gane is a local resident who has written a short series of linked pieces about wildlife in the area covered by the Melbreak Communities:

5. On the fells.
6. Looking ahead.

Alan has also published a book featuring several articles he had contributed the local Link magazine. The book is entitled “Lakeland Walking with Wildlife – the jottings of a fell-walking naturalist in England’s Lakeland”. It is published by Pen Press and is available from the New Bookshop in Cockermouth.
