Yew Tree Hall Table Tennis Club
Table tennis has firmly established itself as one of the leading activities in the hall. Suitable for all ages, it’s a great opportunity for exercise, to socialise, chat and have a whole lot of fun with friends for a couple of hours. There’s even light refreshments; and all for an unbelievable £2.50!*
Taking place most Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm on two tables, the games are informal doubles with 4 players of all abilities. Playing to 11 points with 2 serves each, there is a quick turnover of games so everyone gets plenty of opportunity to play. Towards the end of the evening, for 10-15 minutes, the popular, light-hearted, ‘Round The World’ event takes place where people have one shot and move round the table until they lose three ‘lives’.
There are 12-15 people most weeks and the club aims to play every week, even through Christmas and New Year, dates permitting. Whether you are a beginner, an improver, a semi-pro (there aren’t any at the moment) or someone who hasn’t played for many a year, we’d be delighted to welcome you to the Yew Tree Hall Table Tennis Club.
*Under 16’s (accompanied by an adult) and students are free. Free taster session for first-timers.
